This tutorial will show you how to create a secure IMAP service in Mailtraq. A secure service is encrypted with SSL preventing third parties from obtaining any information should they capture data transmitted over the Internet. In order to configure a secure service in Mailtraq you must first have an SSL certificate. See Creating a Self-Signed SSL Certificate to create your own certificate.
To begin, right-click on the Services node in the Mailtraq Console tree and select New -> Internet Mailbox Access Protocol (IMAP).
When the dialogue appears, change the TCP/IP port from 143 to 993 which is the standard port for secure IMAP.
Then click on the SSL tab and select Implicit Mode. Make sure you have selected a certificate from the drop-down box below.
Now click OK and start the new service.
